Schools

As we focus on the future and our ambitious expansion plans, we will continue to strive for excellence in each and every school providing an individual, high-quality education across all our offers as we consistently endeavour to be the most sustainable and inclusive schools in the UAE.

The school, which is a sister school to the original campus that opened in the United Kingdom in 1865, prides itself on its blend of tradition and innovation, and ensuring they maintain a happy and relaxed atmosphere where children from FS1 - Year 13, can enjoy their education and fulfil their goals.

The Cranleigh ethos is based around the School moto, ‘Ex Cultu Robur – from Culture Comes Strength’, which resonates perfectly with the atmosphere provided by Saadiyat Island, with its rich cultural identity of museums and educational centers. Looking to the future, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is committed to the promotion of international understanding, responsible citizenship and personal development of each individual child.

From the opening of the first school, The Pearl Academy in 2007, Aldar Academies has fast grown into a leading provider of private education with over 6,500 students across a network of seven Academies.

Aldar Academies continues to work towards its promise of ‘Delivering the highest standards of education and inspiring a love of learning.’ with plans to grow its current schools and build new ones which will expand its student capacity to over 14,000 in the coming years.

These expansion plans also include ambition for Aldar Academies to further expand into the nursery sector, from where children will be able to take advantage of priority placements into Aldar Academies primary schools.

To date, Aldar Academies have invested more than Dh450 million in Abu Dhabi’s education sector as part of its commitment to the UAE’s 2030 vision. We see this as a long-term investment and will continue to invest in this sector as we expand.

With the acquisition of Al Shohub Private School in 2021, we have expanded our footprint in the Abu Dhabi market all aimed at strengthening the choice and educational experience available to students in Abu Dhabi. This comes as part of our commitment to bring world-class education to more students in the Abu Dhabi community and ensure that they receive the support they need to reach their full potential.

The education sector is going through constant change and development, and we are keen to remain at the forefront of those developments to provide our students with the best tools available to help them unlock their full potential. This includes the provision of more flexible and diverse education models that appeal to a wider range of families

Charter Schools is the outcome of a unique partnership between the government and the private sectors that provides a third education model in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This strategic partnership between the public and private sector stimulates an exceptional exchange of global experiences and supports the UAE national agenda to create a sustainable, knowledge-based and competitive economy.

The Charter Schools project is one of the initiatives launched by the Abu Dhabi Government "Ghadan 21" Accelerator Programme, under its social pillar, which aims to develop and prepare students with the skills required to address future challenges and deliver the national vision.

The Charter Schools project is dedicated to public school students based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and offers American based curriculums to kindergarten and cycle one, with more grades to be introduced as student’s progress in their educational journey.

Aldar Education has been awarded to operate and manage four schools called Ajyal Schools located in Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, a new government school model representing a pioneering step in supporting the education eco-system, launched last September 2022.

The Ajyal Schools model adopts more advanced learning outcomes that combine the national curricula with the international curricula. The national curricula includes the Arabic language, Islamic education, moral education and social studies, under the direct supervision of the Emirates Schools Establishment. In contrast, the international curricula is responsible for subjects such as mathematics, science and others. This model applies to all students from grade one to grade four. This will be expanded to cover 28 schools within three years. The government will bear students’ fees and all operating expenses.

As part of this new approach, our primary objective is to improve educational outcomes through a relentless focus on raising attainment and achievement levels across our schools to ensure our Emiratis students receive a quality education.
